Stepping into Spring: Yoga & the
Five-Element Theory

APPLYING YOGA FIVE-ELEMENT THEORY TO THE CHANGING OF THE SEASONS

Sunday, March 3rd  2-5 pm

Gabriel is excited to share his knowledge of Five-Element Theory

as it relates to the changing seasons. As the energy of Spring becomes stronger, one’s connection to the Earth may also shift. We are a part of Nature, and are affected by it in both obvious and subtle ways.

This Workshop will focus on applying the Five-Element Theory to help participants support themselves as Winter transitions to Spring. This Theory will be applied to Yoga postures with the purpose of helping students to deepen their understanding of the energetic benefits of the poses. There will also be an opportunity to explore emotions associated with Spring. Students will be able to integrate and reinforce their ‘learnings’ by using reflective listening skills, as well as participating in a 45-60 minute posture sequence.

This Workshop will add to whatever knowledge students already have

regarding Five-Element Theory and Yoga. No prior knowledge of these topics is necessary to attend.

The workshop will include a 10-minute break.

Please Bring

  • Notebook and writing utensils of your choice.

  • Comfortable clothing for both sitting and practicing Yoga.

  • Water in a reusable bottle, with a screw-top lid.
