Most Yoga and meditation classes will be led by Aida Neves. There will be other yoga teachers who will also share in some of the teaching. Aida is a Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist. Through her love and passion for and practice of the art and science of this very gentle and intuitive style of yoga, Aida has inspired thousands of students to live and experience life to the fullest. She is also an an outdoor education teacher and avid environmentalist who brings her love of the natural world into all of her classes and retreat experiences.

Sunday, November 14th, 1-3 pm
This workshop is a two-hour opportunity to take care of yourself.
We will explore gentle yoga postures, soothing breathing exercises,
hand mudras, and Abhyanga – Ayurvedic self massage.
Abhyanga is an ancient Ayurvedic practice which offers many benefits,
among them are improving the circulation of blood and lymph fluids,
calming the nervous system, promoting healthy skin, and improving sleep.
Hand mudras are simple gestures that assist in calming the body and aligning the spine.
You will need a yoga mat, a cushion or bolster, a blanket, and a large towel that you don’t mind getting a little oily. Also about ¼ cup of organic, cold pressed oil such as coconut, almond, sunflower, safflower or sesame. To any of these oils, you may add a few drops of your favourite essential oil such as lavender, chamomile, lemon or frankincense. It is important that the oils be organic as the skin is the largest organ in the body, so whatever is put on it will be absorbed into the organs.
In Ayurveda, it is believed that we should never put anything on our skin that we would not put in our mouth.
